DONOR DAY: BLOOD DONORS SAVE LIVES. ESPECIALLY NOW IN UKRAINE.

Every year on June 14, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. DonorUA's campaign, called “Rozkvitay” was launched throughout Ukraine. Its purpose is to popularize blood donation, telling about its beauty and benefits. During the war, donor blood is a particularly valuable resource, which today saves wounded soldiers and injured civilians.

In Dnipro and in the region, the Regional Medical Center for Family Health, the Dnipro Regional Blood Transfusion Station, the Charity Exchange "DobroDiy", the Charity Fund "Pomagaem", together with representatives of DonorUA, took over the campaign estaphete. The project started with a symbolic planting of hydrangeas near the family health center and a holiday for young patients.

"We need to speak loudly about blood donation in Ukraine today, because now it is more than just a social tangent. This is the provision of medical facilities as one of the most valuable resources for saving Ukrainians."

"It is very symbolic that today's event for small patients, some of whom require regular transfusions of blood components, and the planting of hydrangeas as a symbol of kindness, was the beginning of the "Rozkvitay" information campaign, which is created to popularize the donor movement, in Dnipro," - comments the opening of the project Lolita Kuzina, head of the board of the Charity Exchange “DpbroDiy”, an experienced donor.

The campaign “Rozkvitay” will last until June 14 next year and will include various events, projects and activities. The initiators of the campaign call on all those who wish to contribute directly to the donation. After all, one blood donation helps to save two lives, and local blood centers are always in need of donated blood!
