FEBRUARY, 15 IS THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHILD WITH CANCER
The rapid increase in the number of oncological diseases among children and adolescents is one of the most acute problems of the modern world. According to the WHO, almost 300,000 children under the age of 18 are diagnosed with cancer every year. In Ukraine, according to official statistics, about a thousand children receive such a diagnosis every year.
In order to improve the frightening situation, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine developed the "National Strategy for the Control of Oncological Diseases until 2030". This program is aimed at improving the quality of life of patients, providing affordable and high-quality medical services in Ukrainian hospitals, and solving systemic problems in this direction.
Unfortunately, experience shows that state support in the fight against the disease is not enough for children. Many cases require funds that are too large for state financing, and even more so for parents' family budgets. Therefore, the Charity Exchange “DobroDiy” has been providing comprehensive assistance to children with cancer since its foundation.
Currently, our website continues to raise funds for 9-year-old Sasha Bushneva, who, thanks to the support of those who care, overcame acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In order for the girl to continue to be in remission, she needs constant intake of expensive drugs and regular examinations. You can support Sasha in her struggle via the link https://248.dp.ua/projects/1564#pay.
Children's cancer is a societal problem. However, children’s cancer can be cured. We believe that children have the right to timely, quality treatment and care. We are trying to do everything possible so that children are provided with medicine for this terrible disease and we hope for the support of those who care!
