19 AUGUST - WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY

World Humanitarian Day has a special meaning for Ukraine. Since February 2022, when a full-scale war engulfed our country, humanitarian aid has become a lifeline for millions of Ukrainians.

In many cases, humanitarian aid is equivalent to caring for people. Humanitarian operations are about dignity and humanity, about providing citizens with the necessities without which the quality of life is at its lowest.

Thanks to the efforts of international and local organizations, more than 17 million Ukrainians have received humanitarian aid. This includes providing food, medicines, warm clothing, and psychological and social support.

Working on the frontlines and in the de-occupied areas is particularly important, where people are still living in extremely difficult conditions. Thanks to these efforts, it has been possible to save the lives and health of thousands of Ukrainians who have suffered the worst consequences of the ongoing war.

According to the experience of the team of the Charity Exchange "DobroDiy", humanitarian missions to help Ukrainians in difficult conditions were usually organized quickly and lightning-fast at the most critical moments, such as the destruction of the HPP in Kakhovka and the flooding of the Kherson region in 2023...
