Two SUVs with Starlinks for the "Typhoon" National Guard unit.

Charity Exchange "DobroDiy" supports high-tech units that bolster Ukraine's defense. This time, charitable assistance was provided to the Separate Detachment of Unmanned Special Purpose Systems "Typhoon", which operates directly under the Ukrainian National Guard.

The detachment received two powerful SUVs — a Mitsubishi L200 and a Nissan Navara — which are already aiding the Ukrainian military in combat operations. Both vehicles have Starlink terminals to ensure stable satellite communications even during active hostilities.

The total cost of the project is estimated to exceed UAH 1 million. The vehicles were purchased in Poland and were delivered thanks to the efforts of the DobroDiy charity exchange and volunteers. Upon arrival in Ukraine, the equipment underwent routine maintenance to ensure it was fully operational on the front line.

Starlink terminals provide uninterrupted communications, while new SUVs offer mobility. This combination is a crucial advantage on the battlefield. Consequently, Typhoon Command can effectively coordinate the deployment and use of unmanned aerial systems in the highest-risk areas.

Who are the Typhoons?

The separate unmanned special systems detachment "Typhoon" is a newly established special unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, formed in 2024 to integrate modern technologies into combat practices.

The unit comprises highly qualified military personnel, fighters with combat experience, and specialists in unmanned systems. It aims to achieve maximum efficiency and safety through reconnaissance, fire control, and technical superiority, utilizing drones and digital solutions.
