Daniil Yepanov will be 5 years old soon! But the boy did not have a real childhood due to a rare disease: type 1 glutaric aciduria occurs in 1 case out of 50,000. He was only six months old, when the terrible diagnosis made itself felt. He stopped holding his head and refused to eat.
Now the boy can not sit on his own and does not talk. The child should follow a low-protein diet of special mixtures. This disease is insidious. Lack of rehabilitation and drug therapy can even be fatal for Danny.
