LEARN TO WALK: 3-YEAR-OLD NICOLE RAISES FUNDS FOR RUNNING TRACK
Nicole Mykhlyk desperately fights for every new skill from an early age. A 3-year-old child has complex diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, microcephaly, and developmental delay.
When Nicole was 3 months old, her parents noticed that she was not following the toys at all.
The ophthalmologist diagnosed horizontal nystagmus and partial atrophy of the optic nerves of both eyes, and advised him to consult a neurologist. The child was treated for a whole year to no avail. Nicole could only hold her head and roll over from her back to her stomach. After a full examination in a neurological hospital, the cause was found to be brain malformation and microcephaly.
Along with regular rehabilitation, the most important goal for Nicole right now is to learn to walk. In the realities of war, it is even more difficult to fight for Nicole's health. Most centers have suspended their work, so it is necessary to work with the child at home.
In order for Nicole to exercise every day, she needs a running track. With its help, the girl will be able to train systematically and for free. At the age of 3, Nicole has every chance to stand on her feet and learn to walk independently. Help the child to be happy and healthy!
