FUNDRAISING FOR 3-YEAR-OLD ARTHUR WITH CP AND DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY
In the first minutes of his life, Artur Lovitsky was immediately admitted to intensive care. Doctors fought for his life for 11 days. After that, the child was sent to the Kyiv hospital “Okhmatdyt”. The doctors there did not give positive forecasts, but despite this, Artur survived, began to gain weight and eat on his own.
But blood tests revealed fungal sepsis and a brain abscess for the little patient. Every 7 days of intensive treatment, Artur underwent an MRI scan. After the 6th time, the mother and child were finally discharged home.
It seemed that everything bad was behind him, but at 4 months Arthur was still not interested in toys, did not fix his gaze and did not smile. The neurologist established a delay in psycho-motor development, recommended massages and rehabilitation courses.
In a few months, Arthur first experienced epileptic seizures. For Artur and his family, this meant expensive and long-term treatment in Kyiv again. After the epilepsy was controlled, the boy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Now regular classes at home and with specialists are making sence. Arthur stands on his own with the support, stands on his feet, crawls. The boy likes to watch cartoons and commercials. He has a chance to learn to walk on his own. This requires systematic training in courses that cost a lot. A mother, who is raising her son alone, asks for help from everyone who cares.
