REHABILITATION FOR 11-YEAR-OLD DANYA WITH CP! A BOY DREAMES OF WALKING ON HIS OWN!
Danylo Melnikov was born prematurely. He was born at the 29th week of pregnancy with a weight of only 1.5 kg. At the age of one and a half, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, Danya's struggle for a healthy future began.
The boy underwent rehabilitation measures and treatment in different parts of Ukraine. Thanks to the rehabilitation courses, Danya learned to roll over, sit down, crawl, stand up at the support. In 2015, the boy underwent orthopedic surgery. After that, he started to walk little by little with support and a walker.
In 2019, the child underwent a second surgery. It was an intervention based on the Ulzibat method, which required mandatory postoperative rehabilitation. But due to the lockdown, the course had to be postponed. So Danya lost some of the acquired skills. And only after resuming rehabilitation measures he resume positive dynamics.
Now the boy is studying in the 5th grade. His intelligence is preserved, teachers praise the child. He is active and positive, loves computers and even has a YouTube channel!
Danylo has every chance to become a healthy person. He needs to work with specialists regularly for this. Rehabilitation courses cost a lot, so Danya's parents ask for help from everyone who cares!
