7-YEAR-OLD AGNIA WITH AUTISM NEEDS REHABILITATION. SUPPORT THE GIRL!
Agnia was born difficultly. From the first months of her life, her parents began to notice a delay in the baby's development. When the girl was 1 year old, she did not even crawl. The child slept very badly, did not feel the boundaries of her own body and had problems with movement and coordination. A neurologist diagnosed Agnia with minimal brain dysfunction.
At the age of 3, when the child went to kindergarten, the teachers drew the attention of the parents to the fact that Agnia does not talk to children and adults, and separates herself. And when the girl turned 4, a child psychiatrist diagnosed her with selective mutism, anxiety disorder, along with mixed developmental disorder.
Later, the child was noted to have a high level of anxiety. Loud noises, dogs, cats, dark rooms — all this caused considerable fear and protest behavior. After that, in Kyiv, the girl was diagnosed with autism.
Last September, Agnia went to school for an inclusive form of education accompanied by a teacher's assistant. In addition to general education, the child attends acrobatic classes and drawing lessons. Agnia likes to read and listen to audiobooks. She enjoys walking and spending time with animals.
Now she often has worsening behavior, anxiety and agression. Therefore, Agnia needs psychological support. She also needs a course of massage and physical therapy because she has scoliosis, weak fine motor skills, sensory hypersensitivity and insufficient coordination of movements.
It is difficult for the parents to pay for all the necessary medical measures for their daughter. Please help Agnia socialize!
