7-YEAR-OLD VALERIYA WITH CP AND EPILEPSY DREAMS OF INDEPENDENTLY STEPPING, WHEN ENTRING THE SCHOOL
Valeriya Chereshnya was born prematurely and had a critically small weight - 990 g! At the age of 1.5 months, the baby underwent eye surgery, because he had stage II-III retinopathy of prematurity. The girl developed with a delay: she did not sit, did not crawl, did not walk. While the doctors assured the parents that everything would be fine, the family lost so valuable time.
After two years, Valeriya began to work intensively with specialists: physical therapy, massage, hippotherapy, bobat therapy, taping, acupuncture, botox. Then the girl began to see the first results of hard work. The child began to crawl, sit in the letter W, stand up near a support, walk with a support.
At the age of 4.5, the girl had an epileptic seizure. It caused regression, which was most displayed in the lower extremities. Valeriya was operated on according to the Ulzibat method. Unfortunately, there have been more attacks since the full-scale invasion began. The girl is forced to constantly take antiepileptic drugs.
Valeriya is preparing to become a first-grader next year. In order to go to school, she works diligently with a speech therapist and tutors. Ahead of the girl is an operation to trim the tendons. After which the girl will need rehabilitation classes.
Valeria is smart and kind. She loves to draw and sculpt from plasticine. And the girl really dreams of going to school on her own. Please help her overcome the consequences of difficult diagnoses!
