8-YEAR-OLD VALERIA WITH DOWN SYNDROME AND DIABETES NEEDS SUPPORT!
Valeria Shkarupa was born with a difficult diagnosis, but developed within normal limits. Unfortunately, at the age of 3, the girl suffered severe stress and stopped talking. Now she is relearning to pronounce syllables and words. Valeria is the youngest daughter in a large family. Her heroic mother has seven children. Unfortunately, the woman buried one of her sons in 2021 — the 12-year-old boy was taken by cancer.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russian troops in Ukraine, the family lost their home in the Kharkiv region. Everything that was acquired over many years was lost in one moment. Now the family lives near Kyiv, in the city of Berezan, and directs all its efforts to the fight for the health of its youngest daughter.
Valeria is a restless and very active girl. She likes to listen to music, draw, and perform gymnastic tricks. Thanks to the lessons, the child learned to say more and more words. But the treatment can't be stopped. After all, only with the help of specialists Valeria acquires new skills in speech.
Currently, the girl needs the help of a speech therapist, speech pathologist, massage therapist, and neurologist. In addition, Valeria was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, therefore, the child regularly takes insulin injections. Please support the large family of forced migrants! Help Valeria get to the rehabilitation course in August!
