5-YEAR-OLD KATYA WITH CP DREAMS OF WALKING INDEPENDENTLY!
Katya Chorna was born prematurely by cesarean section. The baby weighed only 1,400 g. The child and her mother spent a whole month in the hospital, after which they were discharged home.
A massage therapist has been working with the baby since she was three months old. At the age of 1, the girl learned to sit, crawl and stand near a support. But she never managed to take the first independent steps.
At the age of 1 year and 10 months, Katya was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. And later, dysplasia of the hip joints with subluxations was added to the list of disappointing diagnoses. The fight for the girl's future began.
The parents put all their efforts into the treatment of their daughter. Kateryna was seen by a geneticist, visited massages and hippotherapy classes, worked with a speech therapist and physical therapy. Exercises helped the girl cope with the consequences of joint subluxations.
The Chorny family was forced to leave their home in Nova Kakhovka after the occupation of Kherson region by russian terrorists, and now lives in Boryspil. The fight for Katya's health continues. The girl enjoys visiting the pool, likes to paint pictures, sing songs, watch cartoons, and listen to bedtime stories.
Katya is very inquisitive and positive. She dreams of walking on her own, playing with the kids on the playground, walking her dog, Terence, and learning to dance like a ballerina. And Katya really wants to return home to her native Kherson region.
Now the girl needs regular classes with rehabilitators. Only in this way will she have a chance for a healthy future. Support Katya!
