Danya Balandovtsev was born with a weight of 4900 g. The birth was difficult and the baby suffered. As a result, the boy had asphyxia, convulsions, a fracture of the left shoulder and Duchenne-Erb paresis on the right side at birth. The baby was immediately transferred from the delivery room to the intensive care unit.
After therapy, when Danya began to breathe on his own, he was transferred to the neonatal pathology department. In order to free the right hand from paralysis, the family immediately provided the child with everything necessary for rehabilitation: massages, paraffin treatment, electrophoresis, physical therapy.
At 6 months, Danya did not learn to sit on his own, and at 1 year, he did not start walking. Doctors confirmed the diagnosis of cerebral palsy in the boy. Rehabilitation classes became the child's only chance to overcome the consequences of the disease. Now he is 10 years old, and he continues to move towards a healthy future: he works out at home on simulators and in special facilities.
All these activities give good results, albeit in small steps. But each new skill brings Danya closer to victory. In 10 years, he achieved considerable success. Although his right hand works a little worse than his left, Danya has learned to dress himself, eat and drink, and writes with his left hand. The boy can stand up to 20 seconds on his own without support, walks with support or with a walker.
The family is not going to stop there. Unfortunately, the parents are unable to pay for all the necessary treatment measures for their son. Please help the Balandovtsev family to put Danya back on his feet!
