11-YEAR-OLD KYRYLO WITH CP NEEDS SUPPORT! HELP HIM NOT TO LOSE FAITH AND THE POSSIBILITY TO WALK!
Kyrylo Ponomarenko was born prematurely, in the 6th month of pregnancy. The first few days of his life he was in the intensive care unit, the next month and a half — in the neonatal pathology department. Unfortunately, a diagnosis of cerebral palsy was a consequence of early birth.
After the discharge, the boy’s family immediately began to fight for their son's health. The boy constantly deals with rehabilitators, massage therapists, a speech therapist, takes medical treatment and diligently overcomes the consequences of serious pathologies.
Kyrylo is happy to work with specialists. Classes give good results, although not as quickly as we would like. The boy sits on his own, walks with support. But in order to preserve and not lose the ability to walk independently, a surgery on the hip joints and a long post operative rehabilitation are urgently needed.
Kyrylo's mother says that she is not afraid of difficulties when she hears from her child: "Mom, don't cry, I will definitely walk after the surgery." Kyrylo is a cheerful, sensitive, and at the same time very strong boy. He has a positive mindset and dreams of a healthy future. Among Kyrylo's many dreams, the most important one is to walk independently and help everyone in need.
Over the long years of struggle, Kyrylo's mother is financially exhausted, because she is raising her son on her own. For the first time in 11 years, she appeals to everyone who cares for help in the boy’s treatment. Now it is necessary to purchase 2 implants. Hip surgery is scheduled for September 2023.
