6-YEAR-OLD SASHKO WITH CP AND HEARING IMPAIRMENT WANTS A HEALTHY FUTURE!
Sashko Skrypka has been fighting for a healthy life since birth! The consequences of difficult diagnoses do not allow the boy to fully enjoy his childhood. The story of the child is impressive. Sashko was born at the 35th week of pregnancy. Shortly after birth, the baby was admitted to the intensive care unit, and then to the neonatal intensive care unit at the Okhmatdyt hospital.
Doctors established complex diagnoses for the child: early neonatal sepsis, necrotizing enterocolitis, hemorrhagic disease of the newborn, meningitis and recurrent ventriculitis. Sasha spent almost a month in intensive care. A concomitant diagnosis appeared: posthemorrhagic internal progressive postinflammatory hydrocephalus. But due to the large amount of protein in the blood and leukocytes, the baby was not shunted. Instead, antibiotic therapy was used.
When Sashko's condition satisfied the doctors, he was operated on and a blood bypass system was installed. But, unfortunately, there was a relapse. The boy was operated on again and again prescribed antibiotic treatment. At about 6 months, Sashko's condition stabilized, and he underwent the third surgery.
Shortly after discharge, the boy began working with rehabilitators. But after some time, the parents noticed that Sashko could not hear. The child was fitted with a cochlear implant, Sashko studied for a long time with a deaf teacher.
Regular work with rehabilitators has borne fruit. At the age of 2.5 years, the boy not only crawled, turned over and leaned on his elbows, but also confidently stood near the support. Very soon he will turn 6. He walks independently. The boy is fond of drawing, plays with toys, and happily works with a defectologist, a speech therapist, and a psychologist.
Unfortunately, the boy communicates only with his mother, he is closed to others. To overcome the consequences of difficult diagnoses, rehabilitation courses must be regular! Only under this condition will little Sashko have a chance for a healthy future. The boy's parents believe that the son will socialize during the classes, learn to speak better and understand spoken speech. Help the family pay for the rehabilitation course!
