7-YEAR-OLD DMYTRO WITH EPI-ACTIVITY WANTS TO ACQUIRE NEW SKILLS! HELP THE FAMILY PAY FOR THE COURSE OF REHABILITATION!
Dmytro Shevchenko was born prematurely. On the 3rd day of life, the baby had a brain hemorrhage, the baby was in a coma for several months. The boy was clinging to life, but had a number of disappointing diagnoses: hydrocephalus, microcephaly, malformation of the brain, pseudobulbar syndrome, symptomatic epilepsy...
In the walls of the Okhmatdyt hospital, Dmytro was treated for a long time, and a heart bypass was performed. When the boy finally got home, he smiled for the first time in 6 months. Dmytro was on nasogastric feeding for about a year. He already learned to eat from a spoon later.
Now the boy walks with support, rides a bicycle, likes to swim, studies hard and diligently, takes an example from his older brother - tries to imitate the 15-year-old.
"So far, Dmytro cannot move without aids, because he does not keep his balance, but in the process of physical rehabilitation, working with specialists and necessarily at home with us - parents, we achieved the point that Dmytro walked, leaning on sticks or a wall. Coaches find an approach and motivate him to achieve results. Dmytro is very persistent and diligent. Having achieved the result, he is happy about it and works with even more zeal," - says Victoria, the boy's mother.
Dmytro has a passion for cycling. He overcomes distances and obstacles with such desire, as if they simply do not exist, he also likes to swim. In order for Dmytro to be able to walk, talk and take care of himself independently, he needs daily sessions with a physical therapist and a speech therapist. Unfortunately, the family budget is exhausted. The family is asking for help from everyone who cares!
