More than three years ago, Sasha Bushnyova started a battle with blood cancer. Long months in the hospital, exhausting chemotherapy, numerous unpleasant procedures — now all that left behind her. Oleksandra's disease has entered the stage of remission!
Now the girl is studying in the 4th grade. She is very active and restless. Sasha likes to dress well, draws with pleasure, weaves bracelets, and also creates charms for our defenders with her own hands.
However, the insidious diagnosis does not allow her to forget about it. Sasha has to donate blood for laboratory tests every week. As far as any deviations from the norm cause suspicion among doctors.
At the end of 2023, the level of platelets in her blood suddenly dropped sharply. Additional examinations were prescribed for the child. Fortunately, the doctors' fears were not confirmed.
It turned out that Sasha was asymptomatically infected with the coronavirus, and this caused thrombocytopenia. For 4 days, the girl was treated in the hospital. So now she has weekly blood tests and is in touch with her doctor.
The family is asking for financial help from everyone who cares, because it is very difficult for Oleksandra’s parents to pay for all the necessary medical services, tests and supportive medications on their own.
