5-YEAR-OLD DENYS WITH A GENETIC MUTATION IS WAITING FOR REHABILITATION! HELP THE BOY!
The number of diagnoses that our little ward Denys Puzan is facing is amazing. He has a defect in the development of the cerebral cortex, epileptic encephalopathy, vision problems, an anomaly of the musculoskeletal system of the whole body, joint weakness, hypotonia, difficulties with feeding and metabolism, growth retardation, underweight.
At the age of 3 months, the baby was diagnosed with ischemic damage to the CNS and neuromuscular syndrome. Denys almost didn’t move, couldn't eat on his own, and slept constantly. When the boy was 2.5 years old, lab tests in the USA revealed that the child had Chu-Toket-Takenouchi-Kim orphan syndrome, caused by a genetic mutation.
Despite the disappointing forecasts, the parents did not give up hope for the best. Tireless work, regular rehabilitation measures contributed to positive changes. Denys has improved muscle tone and fine motor skills. Now Denys should continue to work on improving coordination of movements and concentration of attention.
Denys will turn 6 years old very soon. Now the boy is already able to walk with support, and even tries to jump. He climb the steps upstairs by himself, holding on to the handrails. Denys became better at concentrating and focusing. His understanding of speech has improved, he speaks simple words.
In order to acquire new skills, the boy needs regular rehabilitation and correction courses, which cannot be missed in order to consolidate the result. Please help the family pay for scheduled classes this June!
