5-YEAR-OLD MAKSYM FROM THE DONETSK REGION HAS A SERIOUS DIAGNOSIS. HE HAS EXPERIENCED STRESS AND NEEDS REHABILITATION!
From birth, Maksym Ivashkin developed like all children, but he had a slight delay in speech development. With medication and sensory integration classes, he slowly began to speak. Maksym's family lived in the Donetsk region. One day the child heard a loud explosion and was very frightened. Since then, the boy has not spoken.
Now the Ivashkin family has been forced to move to Dnipro. Here, Maksym continues his studies with rehabilitation specialists and makes some progress. But the stress of the experience has not gone away. In the autumn of 2022, the boy began to have epileptic seizures. Maksym was diagnosed with another difficult diagnosis - localised idiopathic epilepsy.
Thanks to constant treatment by a neurologist and rehabilitation courses, the boy has made significant progress in his speech. He began to communicate actively with others and stopped being afraid of loud noises. Maksym is a happy, friendly and sensitive boy. He loves singing songs, dancing and playing ball. He draws a lot.
Maksym has every chance of overcoming the consequences of a serious illness, but he needs help. Rehabilitation courses, which need to be attended regularly, are very expensive. The family may not be able to afford it. Please support Maksym!
