BROTHER AND SISTER BOHDAN AND MARIA HAVE AUTISM. HELPING CHILDREN SOCIALISE!
Bohdan and Maria Voytenko were both diagnosed at an early age with complex conditions, including autism. Despite all the health difficulties, the brother and sister are persistent in learning new skills and trying to overcome the consequences of serious pathologies.
Bohdan is 17 years old. Unfortunately, since childhood he has suffered from a severe form of autism and damage to the central nervous system with cerebrospinal fluid hypertension syndrome. However, he is very kind and sensitive. He loves nature. By the way, he is studying to be a landscape gardener.
Now Bohdan does not speak at all. A teenager learns to control his emotions. Little by little he manages to curb his exaggerated emotionality. He learned to partially understand spoken language, to write and to count. At school, Bohdan showed remarkable abilities in mathematics and was the best student in the class in this subject.
Maria is 6 years old. She is a playful, happy girl. She likes to draw, play and dance. Maria is kind to animals. Her mother affectionately calls her the flower of the family. Unfortunately, due to delayed speech development and autism, it is difficult for Maria to acquire new knowledge. She now partially understands spoken language and rarely speaks on her own.
The family believes that both Bohdan and Maria will overcome the consequences of the difficult diagnoses, learn to speak and become more socialised. This will require regular classes with specialists. It is very difficult for the Voytenko family to pay for systematic rehabilitation courses for both children. That is why the parents are asking for help from everyone who cares.
