11-YEAR-OLD NAZAR WITH CP AND EPILEPSY NEEDS INTENSIVE REHABILITATION!
Nazar Gubrienko was born during a difficult and rapid birth. Immediately after birth, the baby did not cry. The baby developed bilirubin encephalopathy. As a result, little Nazar spent a month and a half in intensive care, suffering from seizures and respiratory problems, among other life-threatening symptoms.
Nazar was fed through a tube and did not gain weight. After a year in hospital, his parents finally heard the doctors' verdict - cerebral palsy. Although the head of the neurological department was not sure of the diagnosis. Exactly what the boy has is still a mystery, even though many genetic studies have been carried out.
"Despite the disappointing prognosis, we have achieved relief," says Nazar's mother, Olena. "Thanks to constant medical support and rehabilitation, Nazar gradually learned to chew on his own, his back became stronger and the spasms stopped. My son began to understand spoken language better".
Nazar is a smiling, positive boy. He loves to go for walks in the fresh air, and enjoys drawing and leafing through his favourite children's books. Now the child needs a planned course of study.
