6-YEAR-OLD IVAN WITH CP IS LEARNING EVERY NEW SKILL. HELP HIM!
Unfortunately, Ivan Klets' childhood is overshadowed by complex diagnoses. The boy has a severe form of cerebral palsy, retarded psycho-speech development, and other diseases. Ivan was supposed to be born with his sister, as the Klets family were expecting twins. The second child died at 28 weeks. This resulted in a premature birth.
At birth, the baby did not cry or breathe. With a critically low weight of 1,610 grams, he was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. The first few months of Vanya's life were spent in the hospital with his mother. Every 6 weeks, they underwent tests, planned treatment, and supportive rehabilitation. The child was not even a year old when the diagnosis of cerebral palsy was confirmed.
In December last year, the boy underwent surgery on both legs. He had a long recovery and was in a cast for a month and a half. Now Ivan can sit on his own, but he cannot stand or walk without support. Thanks to the hard work of the physiotherapists, the child has gradually started to crawl and speak. Doctors strongly advise him not to miss school. The slightest break between sessions can lead to regression, loss of acquired skills, and return of spasticity.
Ivan is a cheerful, kind, sensitive boy who tries to help in everything. He likes to watch cartoons and play with his cat. In the future, he dreams of going on a camping trip and is already packing everything he thinks he might need in his backpack. The Klets family is asking for help from anyone who cares! In October, Vanya is due to start rehabilitation. Help the boy overcome the consequences of a serious diagnosis!
