7-YEAR-OLD ARTEM WITH CP AND EPILEPSY NEEDS INTENSIVE REHABILITATION! HELP THE BOY AND HIS FAMILY!
Artem Lysytsky was born healthy. But at the age of 2 months, he suffered a stroke that caused a hemorrhagic bleed in his brain. Artem underwent extremely complex brain surgery and spent the next six months of his life behind the walls of intensive care.
Unfortunately, 3 months after being discharged from the hospital, Artem had to return to intensive care as he was diagnosed with a brain hematoma. The boy faced another challenge - surgery to remove the subdural hematoma. The operation was successful, but shortly afterward Artyom developed symptoms of epilepsy.
Doctors found a drug therapy that helped control the epilepsy. Artyom began the first phase of rehabilitation. It was interrupted by a sharp deterioration in the boy's condition. The new diagnosis frightened the parents: the little patient was confirmed to have craniostenosis (premature growth of the skull bones), which in turn required surgical intervention...
Artem bravely endured all the tests and burdens, but now he has consequences in the form of complex diagnoses: cerebral palsy, right-sided hemiparesis, persistent movement disorder syndrome, structural epilepsy, and developmental delay.
Artem is now 7 years old. He cannot sit, walk, or speak for himself. The family fights tirelessly for their son's life and development. During 5 years of systematic rehabilitation, Artem has achieved the following: he holds his head well, is interested in and holds toys, and has learned to drink through a straw. The boy's spasticity is gradually decreasing.
The Lysytsky family is genuinely happy with each of their son's small achievements. Unfortunately, the years of treatment have depleted the family's budget. Please support Artem and his parents on their difficult journey! The boy needs regular rehabilitation and treatment!
