11-YEAR-OLD MAKAR WITH CP HAS A CHANCE TO LEARN TO WALK AND DREAMS OF PLAYING FOOTBALL. HELP HIM ON HIS WAY!
Makar Mykhailiuk was born prematurely at 34 weeks of pregnancy, weighing 2,800 g. Immediately after birth, the boy was in serious condition due to respiratory problems. Makar fought for his life from the very first days and survived. But the battle for his health did not end there.
When Makar turned 1, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and double hemiplegia. Since then, Makar has been constantly training at home and attending rehabilitation centers. For a boy, cerebral palsy is not a judgement, but a constant hard work on himself. And this diagnosis is a financial and emotional ordeal for Makar's family.
The boy is 11 years old. He studies hard in an inclusive school. Makar has learned to use a walker. He is very happy to communicate with his classmates and his biggest dream is to play football with his friends. But there is still a long way to go before this dream becomes a reality.
Doctors are confident that Makar has a good chance of walking on his own. But he still has a lot of treatment and rehabilitation ahead of him. Please help Makar's family pay for his next course of rehabilitation and get him closer to scoring his first goal!
