7-YEAR-OLD YULIA WITH CP HAS PASSED MANY TESTS. THE GIRL LOST ONE BROTHER AND HAS TO LIVE WITH TWO!
Yulia Palamarchuk was born together with her brother during a difficult birth. Unfortunately, the boy could not be saved - he died of necrotizing enterocolitis on the 20th day of his life. Since then, Yulia, who was also in an extremely difficult condition after the birth, has continued to live for both of them, fighting for survival and health.
The list of complications Yulia experienced in the first days of her life is impressive in the worst sense. The girl suffered from hypoxic-ischaemic brain injury, anemia, atelectasis of the lungs, and early neonatal sepsis... Even then, it was clear that Yulia would face a long and difficult road to recovery.
When the girl was 1 year old, an MRI scan showed changes in the hemispheres of her brain. At the same time, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Today, Yulia can sit and roll over, but she cannot stand up or walk. Her accompanying diagnoses include delayed psycho-speech development, strabismus, and spastic tetraparesis.
Last year, Yulia underwent surgery on her leg tendons and spent more than a month in a plaster cast. This has had some positive results. Yulia's intelligence has been preserved. She knows colors, and shapes, repeats words, loves cartoons and puzzles, and likes to communicate with children. Regular rehabilitation is necessary for Yulia's further development. Please help the family pay for her treatment and lessons!
