3-YEAR-OLD OLENA WITH CP NEEDS TREATMENT AND RECOVERY. HELP HER GET INTO REHABILITATION!
Olena Shevchenko was born prematurely, weighing only 800 grams and measuring only 35 centimeters. She was on a ventilator for the first two months of her life. At the same time, Olena was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. The girl underwent an Omaya reservoir and later a shunt.
Olena is now three and a half years old and has complex diagnoses, including those caused by complications after hydrocephalus surgery. These include level 3 cerebral palsy, right-sided paresis, and visual impairment. The girl does not walk by herself, does not use her right hand, and cannot eat solid food...
Olena's family is doing everything it can to rehabilitate their daughter because every course increases the chances of recovery. The main goal of the family and doctors at this stage of the child's recovery is for Olena to be able to walk independently, understand spoken language, chew, and eat well.
Despite a long list of complex diagnoses, Olena shows a zest for life and development. She loves music and can clearly sing melodies from children's songs she has heard. She likes to leaf through books with bright illustrations on the pages.
The parents believe that together with Olena they will be able to overcome the extremely difficult period of recovery, rehabilitation, and further development. She goes to the swimming pool regularly and works with a private speech therapist and physiotherapist. Please support her and her family!
