4-YEAR-OLD SAFIYA WITH CP WANTS TO WALK INDEPENDENTLY AND HAS A CHANCE TO STAND ON HER OWN TWO FEET! SUPPORT THE GIRL!
Safiya Salgin was born three months early. Immediately after birth, she was admitted to intensive care and underwent eye surgery. On the 4th day after birth, the girl suffered a brain haemorrhage. Unfortunately, this resulted in cerebral palsy and spastic tetraparesis.
After being discharged from hospital, Safiya's parents began an arduous battle for her health: massages, physiotherapy, medical therapy. But the results of the treatment were barely noticeable until the family turned to rehabilitation doctors, who prescribed a complex rehabilitation for the girl.
As a result of Safiya's first sessions at the rehabilitation centres, she began to make progress: she started to hold her head, roll over on her own, hold objects and food in her hands, play with toys, sit up and crawl on her own. However, she still lags behind her peers in physical development and does not stand or walk independently.
In order for Safiya to acquire basic skills and become independent, she needs systematic rehabilitation. A large family is unable to pay for all of their daughter's tests, classes and treatment. The doctors are sure that although she is still very young, she has a chance to get back on her feet. Please support them!
