11-YEAR-OLD MELANIA WITH SEVERE CP COMPLICATIONS NEEDS EXPENSIVE MEDICATION!
Melania Kuzmina was born in the 28th week of pregnancy with a critically low weight of 970 g. The girl spent the first month of her life in the Kryvyi Rih Perinatal Centre under artificial respiration, and the second month in the pathology department.
Serious neurological diagnoses were made immediately. After the child gained the required weight and was discharged from the hospital, she was regularly examined by specialists - a neurologist, an orthopaedist, and an ophthalmologist. At the age of 1, Melania was given the status of a disabled child.
The disease did not improve with age. The orthopaedist diagnosed Melania with a dislocation of the hip joints and prescribed an operation. The girl had titanium plates implanted in the hip joints of both legs. The operation left the family financially exhausted. Melania's mother is raising her daughter alone and receives no maintenance from the child's father.
Despite having a long list of health complications, Melania is a cheerful and kind girl. She cannot sit or stand independently and requires assistance to move around. In fourth grade, Melania uses a social taxi to get to her classes.
Now, for further treatment and an effective fight against Melania's disease, intensified drug therapy is prescribed. All the medicines are very expensive. And they have to be taken regularly. Please support her in this difficult fight!
