MARIA WITH SEVERE CNS PATHOLOGY NEEDS REHABILITATION AND TREATMENT!
Maria Rudoman was born on time, by cesarean section. After the birth, the child was diagnosed with a heart murmur. The girl's feet were also deformed. The child did not gain much weight, and at the age 1, Maria weighed only 6,300 grams and could not even stand in a crib.
Numerous examinations and analyses, hospitalization, and observation in the CNS pathology department did not give a clear picture and understanding of the problem. The child did not walk or speak. When Maria was two and a half years old, she was diagnosed with spinal amyotrophy after an EMG examination.
Since then, she has been undergoing regular and intensive treatment, which has halted the process within a year. At the age of three and a half, Maria finally started walking. Her parents sent her to kindergarten to socialize and, surrounded by other children, she acquired minimal self-care skills.
Due to the delay in psychomotor and speech development, Maria started school at 9, when she more or less learned to speak and express her thoughts. At the same time, she was found to have reduced vision in her left eye, amblyopia, astigmatism, strabismus, and nystagmus. Thus, ophthalmological diagnoses were added to the neurological ones.
Maria's other diagnoses include hypoplasia of the thyroid gland, for which she has been taking the hormone Euthyrox for the past 8 years. The hormone therapy has caused her to gain weight, which is difficult to control. Despite all this, Mariyka is happy to go to school, but she has many functional limitations. It is difficult for her to sit down and she has frequent mood swings.
5 rehabilitation courses at Professor Kozyavkin's clinic have positively impacted Mariyka's development. She rides a tricycle, paints pictures with numbers, and makes a mosaic. Despite some delay in her development, Maria dreams of going to university. Help Maria's family pay for her next rehabilitation course!
