4-YEAR-OLD SON OF UKRAINIAN MILITARY SURVIVED SERIOUS INJURIES AND NEEDS TREATMENT AND RECOVERY! HELP YAROSLAV!
On 19 September, a tragedy struck the family of Ihor Yermolin, a soldier of the "Lyut" assault brigade of the "Tsunami" regiment. His four-year-old son, Yaroslav, accidentally fell from a fifth-floor window and suffered multiple severe brain injuries, fractures of two legs and an arm, a ruptured spleen, and lung injuries.
Yaroslav's father was fighting in the Donetsk region at the time and did not immediately know what had happened to his son. Little Yaroslav was taken to the intensive care unit of the Regional Children's Hospital in Odesa, where he was saved thanks to the medical team's professionalism.
A month later, Yaroslav is breathing independently without a ventilator, has opened his eyes, and is conscious most of the time. The boy needs further treatment and rehabilitation, but the hospital where he is now does not have the necessary equipment.
Doctors advise the parents to continue their son's treatment and rehabilitation at the "Nodus" center, one of the few able to help patients with such injuries. The family's budget does not allow for this (the cost of treatment is around 10,000 UAH per day), so the Yermolins are appealing to everyone who cares to help!
After examining the child, the doctor said that Yaroslav had a good chance of recovery, but there was no time to lose. He has started to respond to sound, light, and touch, which means that his brain is working. Yaroslav is a bright and friendly boy who is looking forward to his father's return from service.
