LITTLE EVA WITH CP AND MOTOR DISABILITIES DREAMS OF LEARNING TO WALK. HELP THE GIRL AND HER FAMILY!
Eva Kozhukhovska was born prematurely, at 31 weeks gestation, weighing only 1,470 g. The girl's condition immediately after birth was difficult - she was diagnosed with ischaemic encephalopathy and neurological dysfunction. As a result, she spent the first few months of her life in intensive care and then in hospital, as she had a strong desire to live.
After she was discharged from the hospital, her parents continued to take care of their daughter's health. Eva was given medication and therapeutic massages but was unable to sit or crawl without help. At the age of 1, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia with persistent severe motor impairment.
Thanks to the work of specialists and her parents' desire to get Eva up on her feet, there was later some progress in the child's development - Eva started to crawl at the age of one. At first, she helped herself with her hands, then she learned to move with her legs, and gradually she learned to sit by holding on to the floor with her hands.
For the past three years, Eva has diligently worked with the rehabilitators every month. Now, she is trying to stand by the cot, crawl, and sit. Eva is a determined, happy, active girl who wants to walk independently. She needs regular rehabilitation. The family is unable to pay for their daughter's monthly rehabilitation activities on their own, so they are asking everyone who cares to help!
