8-YEAR-OLD TIMUR WITH AUTISM DOES NOT SPEAK BUT WANTS TO DEVELOP. HELPING A BOY FROM A FAMILY OF IDPs TO RECEIVE REHABILITATION.
Tymur Semenkov was born as a result of a difficult birth. During the first years of his life, neurologists and other doctors confirmed many diagnoses: autism subgroup "A", acetonemia, mitochondrial dysfunction, hyperhomocysteinemia, and additionally - numerous genetic disorders.
Tymur received medication, and massage courses and also attended corrective classes - sensory integration, neuroprotection, and behavioural therapy. The boy is in constant contact with a psychologist and a speech therapist, but unfortunately, he has not yet started to speak and has a developmental delay.
Due to genetic diseases, Tymur needs a special diet: he does not consume gluten, lactose, glucose, or fructose. The boy undergoes special drug therapy courses every 3-4 months. After each course with specialists, he becomes calmer and absorbs information better, so it is impossible to interrupt the course.
In 2022, Tymur and his mother moved to Dnipro. Due to military operations in his hometown of Kharkiv, the boy experienced severe stress, which caused a regression in his development. Now, he is making up for lost skills and acquiring new ones. Help Tymur and his mother, who is raising her son alone, attend the next rehabilitation course!
