7-YEAR-OLD DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED SOFIA NEEDS REHABILITATION! HELP THE GIRL IN HER BATTLE AGAINST DIFFICULT DIAGNOSES!
Sofia Belous is a happy 7-year-old girl who loves playgrounds and children. Unfortunately, due to Sofia's peculiar development, it is very difficult for her to communicate with her peers.
At birth, Sofia suffered from hypoxia and spent the first few days of her life in intensive care. This caused a developmental delay that was noticed when she was 5 months old. Sofia could not hold her head up and was constantly monitored by specialists.
A year later, doctors confirmed Sofia's psycho-speech delay. The girl received massages from early childhood and went to the swimming pool. It was only thanks to these activities that she began to walk independently.
Now, Sofia speaks poorly, understands spoken language only partially, and has impaired coordination when walking. At the age of 5, Sofia was diagnosed with a rare genetic chromosomal defect, which is responsible for her developmental and speech delays.
Sofia was rehabilitated in different centers in Ukraine: "Rostok Zhittya," "St. John's Centre," "Krok za Krokom," and "I Exist." The girl is in constant contact with a neuropsychologist and has improved her psycho-emotional state. Help Sofia and her mother, who is raising her daughter on her own, to attend the next scheduled rehabilitation course!
