10-YEAR-OLD MILANA IS BATTLING THE CONSEQUENCES OF A SERIOUS DIAGNOSIS. THE GIRL NEEDS REHABILITATION TO IMPROVE HER MOVEMENTS AND SPEECH!
Milana Rabin is the second child in her family. Her mother's pregnancy was uneventful, but when she gave birth, the baby's heartbeat was virtually absent from the ECG, so it was decided to perform an emergency Caesarean section. The girl had to be resuscitated, which resulted in brain damage that affected her nervous and musculoskeletal systems.
Doctors later discovered that the mother's blood was incompatible with the child's, and Milana had to undergo two transfusions. At the age of 6 months, the girl's mother began to notice signs of developmental delay and contacted doctors. The girl attended physiotherapy, a swimming pool, and massage classes. Milana did not make a single independent step until she was 2. At that time she was diagnosed with CP and spastic diplegia.
Regular rehabilitation and systematic treatment have improved Milana's development. She now walks, runs, and even rides a bike and scooter. However, to prevent regression and maintain her acquired skills, Milana will need further rehabilitation to align her limbs and improve movement, verticalisation, and speech. Support Milana!
