6-YEAR-OLD ARTUR, WHO HAS CP AND EPILEPSY, WANTS TO LEARN TO WALK ON HIS OWN. HELP HIM GET TO REHABILITATION!
Artur Lovitskyi was born at 35 weeks' gestation, weighing 2400g. Immediately after birth, the boy did not cry, and his lungs did not open. Artur was admitted to intensive care, and for the next 11 days, doctors fought for his life. The child was then transferred to Okhmatdyt hospital, but the doctors were not optimistic. However, Artur survived and began to gain weight.
Later, the little patient was diagnosed with fungal sepsis (sepsis with encephalomyelitis) and an abscess in the left parietal region of the brain. After intensive treatment and numerous tests, the mother and child were finally discharged home. It seemed that the worst was behind us, but at 4 months old, Artur was still not interested in toys, did not fix his gaze, and did not smile.
The neurologist diagnosed an obvious delay in psychomotor development and recommended massages and rehabilitation courses. A few months later, Artur had his first epileptic seizures. For Artur and his family, these problems once again meant expensive, long-term treatment in Kyiv. After the epilepsy was controlled, the boy was given another diagnosis - cerebral palsy.
Doctors insisted on constant rehabilitation as this was the only way Arthur would have a chance of developing. Numerous massage, physiotherapy, and aqua therapy sessions have brought about positive changes - the boy has begun to sit, crawl, and stand independently. Artur's mother is confident that her son has a future. Please help him get to the next rehabilitation course and learn to walk!
