7-year-old Anya, who has a rare disease, is learning new skills. Help her reach the Neurophysiology Centre!
Anya Chaban was born with a congenital brain defect and a rare orphan disease known as FG syndrome. This condition is so uncommon that there is no established medical protocol for its treatment. Since birth, Anya has attended rehabilitation centres and worked intensively with specialists.
The syndrome is associated with defects in most cases, resulting in Anya receiving multiple diagnoses. These include infantile autism, characterised by qualitative impairment in reciprocal social interaction and communication, level 1 speech underdevelopment, motor disorders, and moderate intellectual disability.
Anya is a happy girl who is open to new experiences. She continues to receive intensive psycholinguistic development classes with rehabilitation specialists. Unfortunately, at 7, she still does not speak at a level that enables her to communicate with her peers.
Today, Anya knows up to 20 words but cannot care for herself independently. Rehabilitation specialists, speech therapists, dermatologists, and psychologists assisted her in acquiring each skill. Each new rehabilitation session brings further progress, so we can't stop. Help Anya reach the International Centre for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology!
