Marko, a first grader with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, wants to develop and learn! Help him get a rehabilitation course!
Marko Ivanov is the second child in a family that was forced to move from their hometown in eastern Ukraine 10 years ago due to the war. During his first year at Okhmatdyt Hospital, the boy was diagnosed with a brain cyst. This resulted in several other serious diagnoses: spastic hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, left-sided hemiparesis, structural epilepsy, and lissencephaly.
Marko's extensive list of serious diagnoses necessitates constant monitoring, treatment, and regular mandatory rehabilitation. Marko's left leg and arm begin to shorten due to hypertonia if he does not have enough time to complete the course. He takes anticonvulsants three times daily; without them, he experiences epileptic seizures, which also contribute to developmental delays.
Marko is now 7 years old and started first grade this year. It is challenging for him to balance school with his ongoing health struggles. Nevertheless, Marko does his best to gain knowledge. The boy's primary focus at the moment is to maintain the pace of his recovery. Please assist Marko in accessing the next course of physical rehabilitation and continuing his development!
