"AIRBAG" FOR A MEDICAL FACILITY THAT SAVES THOUSANDS OF LIVES!
The Regional Medical Centre for Family Health is one of the most significant medical institutions in Dnipro and the southeastern region of Ukraine. Every day, young patients are admitted to the emergency department, and dozens of lives are permanently saved in intensive care.
In times of war, doctors' work is as valuable as the heroic actions of the Defence Forces soldiers! Situated on the border of the zone of active hostilities, the hospital is the "last bastion" of medical care in the region. The burden on the city's medical facilities has increased many times!
The number of small patients has also increased significantly! Ukrainians evacuated from hot spots with their children and ended up in Dnipro. At the same time, the hospital has not stopped treating cancer patients and children with other complex diagnoses. The perinatal units continue their work as well.
Among the prestigious awards of this medical institution is a Ukrainian record: the unique case of a baby born and subsequently discharged from the medical center with an extremely low birth weight of only 470 g.
Over 206,000 patients receive high-quality care at the hospital every year. In 2024, more than 16,000 surgical procedures will be performed at the medical center, approximately 80% of which will be complex operations.
A hospital with that kind of workload should have everything it needs to save patients with injuries and burns of varying severity. However, medicines and medical supplies not included in the list of state guarantees and services provided by the National Health Insurance are often needed.
In some complicated cases, the final countdown is measured not in days but hours! The future of a child's health and life depends on timely, qualified help and medical care. That is why we are launching this 'airbag' fundraiser to help save patients in complex, urgent cases!
The funds raised will assist urgent patients and fulfill the center's critical needs. As a result, children will have the opportunity to receive immediate medical care! We are grateful to everyone who supports the project and helps the hospital save lives!
The project aims to raise 500,000 UAH to cover the urgent needs of the Regional Medical Centre for Family Health.
