Eleven-year-old Dmytro, who has a rare cerebrovascular disease, underwent extensive surgery. Support the boy in his recovery!
Dmytro Fesiuk was born a healthy child and developed well. He enjoyed playing sports, swimming, and riding his bike. However, at the age of six, he suffered a head injury and lost consciousness during a fight with other children at school, which resulted in paralysis on the right side of his body. After four days in intensive care, he was diagnosed with herpetic encephalitis and, later, an ischemic stroke.
Two months later, Dmytro began walking again, initially with support and then gradually on his own. In 2021, during a medical examination, he was diagnosed with abnormal growth of the brain vessels. After undergoing cerebral angiography, he was diagnosed with a rare cerebrovascular disease known as moyamoya. To prevent further ischemic strokes, Dmytro had surgery in 2022.
Following the surgery, a lengthy recovery process began. To help him regain his speech, Dmytro started singing, and he remains quite successful at it. Until the third grade, he was homeschooled, and he now attends a comprehensive school. He enjoys studying, particularly mathematics, geography, and history. To live a fulfilling life, he needs regular rehabilitation. Support Dmytro on his journey to recovery!
