Fourteen-year-old Danylo, who has cerebral palsy, hopes to learn to walk on his own. Support the boy!
Danylo Melnikov was born prematurely at 29 weeks, weighing only 1.5 kg. At one and a half years old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, Danylo has been fighting for a healthy future.
He has undergone rehabilitation and treatment in various parts of Ukraine. Thanks to these courses, Danylo has learned to roll over, sit down, crawl, and stand with support. Following orthopaedic surgery in 2015, he gradually began to walk with support.
He soon underwent another surgery using the Ulzibat method. Danylo experienced a long postoperative rehabilitation period. However, due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the rehabilitation programme was delayed, and Danylo lost some of the skills he had gained.
Danylo graduated from Year 7 with a letter of commendation for his academic achievements. He is intelligent, and his teachers praise him. He is active, positive, and loves computers, even having his own YouTube channel.
The boy has every chance of making a full recovery. To achieve this, he needs regular sessions with rehabilitation specialists. This is costly, and Danylo's mother is raising him alone since his father died of illness last year. Please support the child!
