Eleven-year-old Kyrylo, who has cerebral palsy and delayed development, has had numerous surgeries and keeps battling to live. Support him!
Kyrylo Dunduk is a child who has fought for his health, but he has a strong will to live. He was born with his sister Kira, who unfortunately died a month later. When Kyrylo was four months old, his parents noticed that he could not hold his head up and consulted doctors. The neurologist was not optimistic about the boy's future and even advised his parents to abandon him.
However, Kyrylo's mother decided to fight for her son's health and life. The family consulted various doctors and visited different rehabilitation centres. The boy underwent physical therapy and attended swimming classes. By the age of three, Kyrylo had begun to say his first words. Tragically, the family later suffered a loss when Kyrylo's cousin died in a car accident. This deeply affected the entire family, including Kyrylo. He stopped talking.
Despite this, Kyrylo's family continued to fight for his health. After attending sessions with a speech therapist, an occupational therapist, and an osteopath, he began kindergarten. Kyrylo also had delayed hip joint development and has undergone several surgeries to install pins and plates since 2018.
He has undergone nine surgeries on his legs, but he refuses to give up and continues to strive to improve. He studies the school programme independently, yet socializes with other children and enjoys communicating with his peers. Last year, it was revealed that Kyrylo's father had died in the occupied territory. Help the family cover the costs of the boy's rehabilitation!
