Eight-year-old Zlata has a severe inflammatory disease of the CNS and is still battling its effects. Support the girl!
For the first six months of her life, Zlata Pakhalyuk developed normally, gaining weight consistently and reaching typical milestones like rolling over and learning to sit up independently. Unfortunately, everything changed suddenly when she developed a fever and convulsions. She was taken to the intensive care unit, where doctors confirmed she had meningoencephalitis.
Her chances of survival were 50/50, but she bravely endured all the challenges of spending a month and a half in intensive care. She continues to fight the effects of her serious illness with every step she takes independently. The inflammation caused left-sided hemiparesis and symptomatic epilepsy, among other issues.
Zlata is a very kind and sociable child. She strives to do everything herself, although this is not always possible because her left hand is paralyzed and cannot hold anything. Zlata loves building with construction sets and drawing. She can stand with support and walk with the help of adults. She needs rehabilitation every three months. Help Zlata!

Diagnosis: Consequences of inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system. Localized symptomatic epilepsy. Expressive language disorder. Valgus deformity of the ankle joints. Spastic hemiplegia. Left-sided hemiparesis with persistent severe impairment of limb function. Gross motor function impairment at Level IV according to the GMFCS classification.
The goal of the project: to raise UAH 25,000 to pay for the rehabilitation course at the International Rehabilitation & Neurophysiology Centre
