Daniel Strashenko was born prematurely at 30 weeks as the second of twins. During birth, he experienced hypoxia and a severe brain hemorrhage. Unfortunately, this later led to hydrocephalus, spastic tetraparesis, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy.
Daniel spent seven months in Okhmatdyt Hospital after birth, where he had a shunt operation, five neurosurgical procedures, and eye surgery. For two months after discharge, he was fed through a tube and showed no reaction to stimuli. Only later did Daniel gradually begin to show emotions.
Daniel is now nearly three years old. He has learned to roll over, can crawl a little with assistance, and can hold his head up. Every step he takes requires considerable effort. To continue developing, he needs regular rehabilitation, but the family's financial resources are running low. Support Daniel!
