Eight-year-old Ihor has cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, and hearing impairments. He does not speak and has coordination issues. Help him receive therapy!

Ihor Khomenko was a long-awaited child for his family. He was born after a normal pregnancy and delivery. However, during his first few weeks, Ihor suffered from pneumonia, which weakened his immune system and led to various health issues. His extensive medical journey started at the perinatal center, with visits to a geneticist, neurologist, cardiologist, and orthopedist.

The first year of Ihor's life was very challenging — he was frequently sick, battled many respiratory illnesses, was underweight, and experienced developmental delays. His parents worked hard to ensure he got proper treatment and rehabilitation. Intensive classes using different techniques showed progress: Ihor grew stronger: at seven months, he started to hold his head up; at one-and-a-half years old, he could sit; and at two years old, he stood up for the first time.

Now, at age eight, Ihor's journey toward a healthier childhood continues. He has delays in psycho-emotional and speech development and cannot run or speak. He experiences impaired coordination of movements, along with difficulties in fine and gross motor skills, and he cannot hear out of one ear. However, he still has every chance of overcoming these challenges because he is a very promising and cheerful child. To prevent losing the skills he has already gained, Ihor needs ongoing rehabilitation. Support Ihor and his family!
