Twelve-year-old Denys, who has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and motion disorders, dreams of walking independently. Support the boy!
Denys Stepanov was born after a difficult childbirth and experienced hypoxia and double umbilical cord entanglement. During his first two weeks, he was in intensive care because he struggled to breathe on his own. When Denys was one year old, his family received the first confirmed diagnosis of his condition: cerebral palsy and spastic diplegia.
Denys has been fighting for a healthy childhood since birth. It is a challenging recovery process that involves exhausting work to develop basic skills. Now, at 12 years old, Denys understands spoken language, can crawl and walk with support using a walker, and communicates through gestures. He can operate a tablet independently, and he loves cartoons and rhythmic music.
Denys is a calm and obedient child. He enjoys spending time with his younger brother and other children. Among all physical activities, Denys prefers water activities the most. Doctors see him as a promising child, but he needs regular rehabilitation to continue developing. Support Denys!
