Brothers Oleksiy and Yevhen, who have developmental disabilities and behavioral disorders, need support for rehabilitation and socialisation. Please support them!
Oleksiy and Yevhen Vilihura have faced numerous difficult diagnoses since early childhood. They are both considered children with disabilities, and every day is an exhausting effort to preserve their health and develop fundamental skills.
Oleksiy is eight years old. At birth, he had seizures, brain oedema, and muscle dysfunction. Drug therapy and rehabilitation saved him, but he did not start walking until he was 1 year and 7 months old. He has a developmental delay and a confirmed diagnosis of mild intellectual disability.
He is currently studying online at a specialized school. He is kind and inquisitive but tends to avoid contact with other children, preferring to spend time with his family. The biggest issue for Oleksiy is his facial muscle tone: he has slurred speech, rhinolalia, and a deformity of the oral cavity. Rehabilitation could benefit him.
Yevhen is six years old. When he was one year and nine months old, his parents noticed that he did not respond to spoken language, played alone, and did not react to pain. The long process of helping Yevhen then began. He now speaks only two words but has improved his understanding of language and his ability to make contact. However, he still exhibits sensory features and stims.
Thanks to regular classes, Yevhen is gradually beginning to smile, rejoice, come out of his shell, and communicate with those around him. He needs ongoing rehabilitation sessions and medication to stimulate his brain. Please help Yevhen and his brother develop and acquire new skills and abilities!
