Mykhailo Kashytsia has severe childhood autism, speech impairment, and behavioral disorders caused by organic brain damage. This condition results in difficulties with adaptation and functioning. He now requires constant external care and assistance.
When he was one year old, his parents noticed that he did not respond to his name, did not make eye contact, and did not react when spoken to. Later, he developed stereotypical behaviors, vocalizations, and a fear of noise. He has impaired sensory sensitivity in his mouth and can only eat soft, puréed food.
From an early age, Mykhailo's family has consulted with a psychotherapist, a neurologist, a geneticist, and a psychologist. He took nootropics and neuroleptics and underwent numerous medical tests. Progress and new skills have been achieved through corrective classes with psychologists, speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and sensory integration specialists.
Now, Mykhailo has started using a pointing gesture. He is beginning to respond to his name. He enjoys going for walks, doing puzzles, and looking through books, and shows an interest in toys and animals. Unfortunately, he does not speak at all. However, experts note positive progress in his development and emphasize the importance of regular rehabilitation. Please help the family cover the costs of their son's next rehabilitation course.
