Twelve-year-old Tymofiy struggles with severe movement disorders and painful spasticity. Help the boy receive rehabilitation!
Tymofiy Ratushnyi's mother found out her son might be a special child even before he was born, at 33 weeks' gestation. A study showed he had excess fluid in the brain. By the time he was born, doctors expected other complications to develop. Luckily, most of these did not happen.
Sadly, due to a complicated birth, Tymofiy also suffered injuries. Despite his visual impairment and developmental delay, he took his first tentative steps with support at age two. He had already started speaking, but after a severe convulsive seizure, he regressed considerably.
Tymofiy lost the ability to stand and speak. He now has severe motor dysfunctions, symptomatic epilepsy, and optic nerve atrophy in both eyes. Because of difficulties gaining weight, Tymofiy receives specialized nutrition. He also constantly requires nappies, medication, rehabilitation, and speech therapy.
His parents do everything they can to ensure he gets proper care and medical treatment. Timofiy is a very bright child. He loves music, musical toys, and English lessons. Please help Tymofiy's family cover the costs of his upcoming rehabilitation course.
