Three-year-old Varvara has cerebral palsy and developmental delays. She still doesn’t speak, but her main goal is to develop. Please help her!
Varvara Svidlo was born prematurely at 31 weeks, weighing only 1,750 g. Although her birth was natural, a prolonged anhydrous period led to a knot forming in the umbilical cord, causing hypoxic-ischemic injury to the CNS. Sadly, this impacted her subsequent health and development.
From the age of six months, Varvara started working with specialists at rehabilitation centers. Soon after, the doctors' suspicions about the child's diagnosis were confirmed. Varvara has several diagnoses: cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia, and delayed psycho-speech development.
Varvara is now three years old and, with her family's support, making progress in her development. Classes with specialists are showing positive results: she has learned to sit up, stand with support, and walk with an adult's assistance using a specialized walker.
Unfortunately, she still does not speak at all. Varvara is a positive, sincere, and smiling girl who always brings warmth and smiles to those around her. She loves going for walks, riding swings, spending time on the beach and in the water during the summer, and listening to music and dancing. She is also interested in helping her mother with household chores.
Varvara needs regular medical check-ups and rehab sessions. These come with significant costs that are straining the family’s finances. Varvara's parents are reaching out to everyone who cares about her! Support Varvara on her tough journey!
