Seven-year-old Erik, who has autism, plans to become a student at school but still has speech problems. Help him receive rehabilitation!
During his early years, Erik Kobets developed and grew normally for his age, except for a noticeable delay in speech development. He did not speak, only imitated sounds. However, doctors were confident that nothing serious was happening. Nevertheless, at his parents' insistence, Erik visited a neurologist and an audiologist.
It was only later, when Erik started attending a kindergarten group for three-year-olds, that a child psychologist told his parents that he needed special attention. Since then, Erik has been working with a speech therapist and attending physical therapy and sensory integration classes. His behavior has improved, and he has become interested in new things.
When Erik was four years old, a full-scale war erupted in Ukraine, forcing his family to relocate to a small town where his grandmother lives. Since there was no access to necessary professional help for Erik, his condition worsened considerably over the following year.
Erik's parents found out he needed treatment from a psychiatrist and a speech and language therapist. Now, the boy works with specialists three times a week and goes to the pool. This September, Erik will start first grade at the lyceum with the help of a tutor. Meanwhile, the child's language development remains at an early stage.
Erik is a cheerful, open-hearted, and kind boy. He enjoys riding public transportation, swimming, and drawing. He wants to start playing adaptive football and is interested in music and musical instruments. Please help Erik recover his health, stay on the path of development, and enjoy a full childhood!
